How we make these pages
TodayGems answers the questions people ask before installing a new game: does it have ads, is it pay-to-win, does it work offline, and what else is like it. Every page is built from public store data and player reviews, and refreshed daily.
How we find new games
Every day we read the App Store game charts (Top Free, Top Paid and Top Grossing, for each game genre) in 22 countries, and keep the games released in the last two months. We then look for the same game on Google Play. A game on a chart is a game people are actually installing, so you don't have to wade through thousands of copycats.
Where the facts come from
- Store data: release date, developer, price, size, languages, version history, ratings, and the "Contains ads" and "In-app purchases" labels Google Play shows.
- Chart ranks: the App Store positions we recorded, with the date we last saw them.
- Player reviews: once a game has enough public reviews, an AI model reads the most recent ones and counts how many mention ads, paying to progress, playing offline or missing payouts. Every conclusion shows that count, so you can judge how solid it is.
- Similar games: matched by genre and by how the games describe themselves.
- Player checks: visitors who played a game can answer one-tap questions (did you see ads?). We show the raw counts next to the question; they never change the AI summary.
- Translations: Korean and Japanese pages use each store's local game names, and AI translations of the review summaries.
What we don't do
- We don't play every game ourselves. Offline play and pay-to-win come from player reports, and we say so on the page.
- We don't copy store descriptions or individual reviews. Summaries are written fresh and link back to the store.
- We don't take payment to change what a page says. If we ever promote a game, it will be clearly labeled.
Found a mistake?
Store data changes often, and AI summaries can be wrong. Pages are re-checked weekly; corrections are welcome.
